I'll stamp all over 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming bout.

Ex twice unified boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the customary face-off, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
